Happy Halloween

Johnna set her alarm last night and I asked, "what for?". She said that she was going to get up early to start a new tradition; pumpkin pancakes. What? Gross. There were no pumpkins
harmed in the making of this breakfast. They were real pancakes and tasted terrific. I was impressed.

After breakfast, we carved the pumpkin
Every time I would lift the lid Carter would try with all of his might to close it.
I totally LET Him win.
But he warmed up to it and tried to eat it.
I bet he's thinking, I wonder if I could fit down in there. ;)
Tatum helping scrape out the goop
Tanner showing Carter how it's done.
Mommy showing Tatum how its done
"I knew I could fit."
I would make a joke about Carter leaving a surprise in the pumpkin but that would be gross
The Cul-de-sac street party. It originally was going to include a haunted house which was dropped from the plans, but I don't see how it could have been any cooler. The neighbors all grilled and brought other food and deserts and sat outside and handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters. Everyone had a great time.

Here is a video
video

Sometimes they remind me more of Looney Tunes but we sure love watching these three Disney characters having fun. They were so good about keeping their costumes on.

Oh yeah, here are Tatum and Granddad sitting by the finished product.

All of the older kids were throwing the football in the street so Tanner ran in to get his mouse-sized football so that he could play too. Tatum joined in and I wish we had video taped these two little mice running around the cul-de-sac chasing each other with the football. It was hilarious how they ran in these costumes.

Off to trick-or-treat for Carter's first Halloween!

He knew exactly what to do with his first candy. (I'm sure there is a guilty grandparent somewhere who is responsible).
By the end of the night, the Twins had the "trick-0r-treat" thing down. Most of the night they would yell "Trick-or-Treat" walking down the street between houses and on the porch but when someone would come to the door, the cat got there little mice tongues and they stood there silent.

The Dewberry Farm

Welcome to The Dewberry Farm
video
Although, Johnna and I have been coming here for 3 years now, this was Carter's first time to come and the twins' second.

Everyone had a great time. The Dewberry Farm is located West of Katy outside of Brookshire.

Granddad and Grandma with all their grandbabies in the pumpkin patch
Tatum LOVED the pony ride! She didn't wipe this smile off the whole time.
This is Tanner saying "Yee Ha Cowboy!"
There's nothing better that seeing your kids having a good time.

Tatum picked out a Cinderella Pumpkin of course
And, Tanner bit off more than he can chew...as usual.

That's A Wrap!

Isn't it funny how we all have pictures like the last one but they never seem to make it into circulation? I wonder on average how many of the last picture it takes to get a good one. If I were a children's photographer, I would make a montage of the "out-takes" from all of your clients. I bet there are some funny ones.
To answer my own question, I would suspect that the number of children in the photograph is directly and exponentially proportional to the number of pictures like the latter that don't make the cut.

Happy 2nd Birthday Tatum and Tanner
So we are a little behind on post! Long story but we ended up having the twins family birthday party in June. Four babies were born all around their birthday and we knew that their new cousins wouldn't be able to come so we decided to hold off and have a swim party!! They had sooo much fun! Thanks to everyone who came and made this day so special!

The cupcakes were adorable and made by a wonderful friend of mine. She did all of the Sesame Street characters.

Carter's Baby Dedication(s)

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. -Proverbs 22:6
This past weekend we finally were able to participate in the baby dedication ceremony at our church. We however had Carter Christened in April at the same church we had the twins Christened at...which was the same church that Johnna was Christened at. So here are finally some pictures of the big day and celebrating with the family:

Carter and Daddy getting ready
Our sweet little boy

This is Johnna, the twins and Carter with Aunt Donna, Cousin Dalton and Grandad all who were Christened at this same church.
This is Uncle Mike, Aunt Sally and Cousin Ashley with little Carter
If you remember, this is Pastor Otterness who Christened Carter's Grandad Moody, Married Grandad and Grandma, Christened Johnna's brother, Johnna and came out of retirement to Christen Tatum and Tanner. Although, we did not ask him to pull a Brett Favre and come out of retirement again, we did ask him to be there with us.
Grandpa and Grandma Wiese hosted the after party at their house.
Party Time!

This past weekend, we participated in the Baby Dedication Ceremony at our new church home.
All three of the kids were very well behaved and once again were blessed with sharing it with our family. After the ceremony we celebrated at Los Cucos Mexican Cafe.

Too Hot Outside

This is what happens when when it is too hot to go outside and play. And yes I know, Tanner will one day kill me for this. But for the record.... HE asked me to do it!!

Oh How He Has Changed!

I have been a bad blogger, I haven't blogged about all of the wonderful changes my beautiful baby boy is making! Well he is definitely not wasting time getting mobile. In month 4 he was sitting up, month six he was crawling and now that he is 8 months and is already preferring to be standing up and moving along the furniture! I just know walking is around the corner. He has to be the SWEETEST baby on this planet. The only time he cries is when he is tired, which I can always look at a clock and tell you what time it is. It is adorable how Tatum and Tanner love to take care of him. They are constantly bringing him toys and I have taught them that he can't have anything that is very small so they are always watching out for him and take things away that they think are too small. Now that he is always standing they are constantly giving him hugs, SO CUTE!! I feel so blessed to have Carter in our family, he is such a JOY!!

He just laughs and talks to himself in the mirror.
I'm so sad this picture didn't come out, it was an adorable moment!

Date Night

We got to enjoy a mini-vacation thanks to Mammy and Grandpa a few weeks ago. We stayed in the Galleria area
and ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, swam in the pool on the roof of the hotel and took it easy. We dropped ALL 3 children off at Mammy and Grandpa's house in Willis on Friday afternoon and returned Saturday evening well refreshed. We stayed at The Intercontinental and got upgraded to the Baron Suite. It was awesome.

There was a huge walk in closet, 1 1/2 baths, a living room and of course a bed room. The bathroom had a standup shower and a huge tub. It was nice to get waited on for one day as opposed to being the waiter. I believe the kids are very well behaved and we love our lives more than anything but a break sure was recharging. Johnna is an awesome selfless mom and wife and deserved a vacation. We had fun.

What more can a Dad want?

I've got three healthy babies and a beautiful Mommy for them. *Although, two of them are looking a lot less like babies and a lot more like little kids.* Actually, Carter can crawl now so he won't be long either. Hey, but that's part of it. As long as they don't turn 13.

The kids got me a Dad's day golf outing that I'm really looking forward to. I'll hopefully have pictures from that soon depending on how my game is that day. Here's a picture from Father's Day morning. My other gift was a framed photograph that Johnna took of Carter's hand in mine when he was a newborn and Photoshopped a poem called "My Daddy's Hand" over the picture. No, I didn't cry...I'm a pilot for Pete's sake!

Carter's First Swim!

This was Carter's first time in the swimming pool and Tatum and Tanner's first swim of the summer! Pappy and Grandma Lori came with us and we all had a wonderful time!

Carter teething on Pappy

Tatum LOVES the water, she has no fear, which scares me to death!
Carter loved it, he kicked the whole time!
Tanner was a little nervous this trip to the pool and he was on the steps. He has since warmed up to the water and we can't keep him out!

SO BIG!!

Here are the kids reading So Big with their daddy. The cutest part is Tanner always says "too big"! We didn't teach him that and it is soooooooooo the truth! They are getting so big, tooooo fast!!
Thank goodness Tanner loves his brother!

Mischievous

Tatum and Tanner are always getting into something. But it always seems to be Tatum who is a little more curious than her brother. She is definitely taking after her Daddy, I'm the COMPLETE opposite!!

We walk into the room to find this!! he he he Thank goodness he is the most easy going child on this planet!!
And then we see Tatum sitting up there laughing at him. Hummmmm I wonder how he got that helmet on his head??

One afternoon I walked into the kids room after they have woke up from a nap. We have taught the kids to stay in bed and wait for us to come in and get them. Well I found Tatum in her bed, with a empty bottle of lotion. It was empty because it was ALL over her, the bed, her sheets and dolls. Ya, I just thought we taught them to stay in there beds. And by the way, you know those times you are supposed to get onto your kids for doing something wrong, this was NOT one of those moments for me. I couldn't stop laughing. Every time I tried to get onto her I would bust out laughing. I don't think she learned a single lesson but I know she had fun!!

Mother's Day 2009

Words can't describe how special Mother's day is to a mom. You get to sit back and really think about how blessed you truly are. This was my third Mother's Day and it was WONDERFUL! Troy made my day so special! I have the most amazing husband and kids on this planet. Thank you for making my day so great!
This is the stone the kids made.
Grandma and Carter
The mommies and their babies! he he Sorry it's not centered!
Love those kisses!
Troy and the kids made my card and it was AMAZING!
Troy took out all 3 by himself again to get my gift!

One of his favorite toys.
The other one of his favorite toys.
They brought me home flowers!

Finding my toes!

This tells me how far behind I am on blogging! Carter found his toes at the end of his third month and now he is 6 months old!! Well since then he can't keep his toes out of his hand and mouth!! heheheh He is so stinking cute, why can't they stay little forever!!!

Purple Elephant Pool

The kids outgrew their kiddy pool so we decided to get something a little bigger. We decided on the elephant pool. Here Carter is waiting on Daddy to bring home the pool, can't you just see the excitement on his face! HA
Tatum and Tanner were so excited when they saw Daddy getting out of the car with their new pool!

Taking their first swim of the summer.
They LOVE it!!

Having Fun

I haven't updated everyone on the twins lately but they are doing great! They are now speaking in complete sentences. It is so crazy how funny they are. They repeat EVERYTHING you say!!! ha ha ha We are having so much fun with them. Potty training is well under way and they are surprisingly doing very well! The scariest thing is they are figuring everything out like how to open the front and back door and how to move the stool to get whatever they want to eat out of the pantry. They are really starting to have opinions of their own. They are still VERY huge fans of food and LOVE to eat. Tanner walks around saying "I need goldfish" and Tatum says "I want sombin(something)". They have already figured out how to talk Grandma and Grandad into ANYTHING they want. Anytime my mom comes home from somewhere they ask her for a surprise! We are loving every minute of them, well most of those minutes!
They are two you know!

These are just some random pictures of the kids having a good 'ol time!
This one would be Tatum on a bad hair day, but........ having a GREAT time!
Tanner wearing his fire truck pj's and his fire helmet.
Mammy and Grandpa came over for a visit.

4 months

Here are a couple of pics of baby Carter at 4 months!
He had cereal for the first time this month. He actually did pretty good! He is flipping over non-stop, I can't keep him on his back. He is still the easiest baby ever, I can't imagine my life without him. He is playing with toys, LOVES his bouncer, smiles and laughs constantly.
Here he is at his 4 month check-up. The Doctor says he is perfect (I would have to agree, he he) He weighed 19 lbs (95%) and his length was 95%, I think he is taking after his daddy!
Such an angel!
He jumps like crazy and laughs the whole time!

Vargo's

My grandmother was in town a couple of weekends ago so we decided to take her to see the azaleas blooming at Vargo's. They were SOOO beautiful! There were Peacock's everywhere!

Walking with Grandad.
Terrified of the peacock making VERY loud sounds!!
I love this man!

They were scared of the peacock in the background and we couldn't do anything to make them both smile.

Duck Pond

We had a great time at the duck pond! Tanner didn't want to feed the ducks, he wanted to eat all the bread!
I see baseball in this kids future!

Of course we couldn't leave baby Carter out of this post!
TONS of turtles!

Bluebonnets '09

Soooo Behind!!!
Sorry we haven't put any post up but it has been a little crazy. A couple of weeks ago we had Carter Baptized in Odessa. On our trip the twins picked up a very nasty virus. You name the symptom and they had it. Well it has lasted for two weeks and has pretty much made its way through the whole family. A cough is about the only thing everyone has left, I see a light at the end of the tunnel!!!!

Kelly Buckner BucknerPhotography.com took these photos about a month or so ago. She needed a couple of models for her website and we were lucky enough to be chosen!! She did a great job and the kids had a great time!

I absolutely love this one. They really do love each other so much!

"Peek-A-Boo"
Can it get any sweeter???
Oh my goodness, they are my everything!!
Carter was such a great sport. This boy is either smiling or asleep 90% of the day.
I know, I know, It's against the law to pick bluebonnets. False- we have been told our whole lives not to pick them because it's against the law, well we looked it up and that is just a myth. However, I will continue in the tradition and teach my kids the same thing. If everyone picked them then there wouldn't be any left!! It did make for a cute picture though.
The silly faces would be them smelling them. HE HE

Mr. Handsome!

So sweet!!
